Aleksandra Wycisk
I studied sociology and cultural studies at Silesia University in Katowice and now I am preparing a phd thesis on social reception of city marketing (sociology) at Silesia University in Katowice. My MA thesis analysing the process of creating a new city brand won the Ministry of Regional Development Award in Teraz Polska Promocja 2011 contest. My teaching experience includes both academic courses (modern theories of sociology for MA students) and workshops (Where is Silesia? workshops for high schools in Silesian voivodeship). I am interested in city/regional marketing, popular culture and gender/queer.
